Wm. L. Lange Paramount Tenor Banjo Style A. Natural gloss lacquer finish, laminated maple rim, laminated maple neck with walnut center strip. Rosewood fretboard with notched diamond pearl inlay. Engraved pearl inlay on headstock. The neck has an adjustor under the front edge of the rim for action adjustment. Reddish stains from the lining of the case, which is original, are visible on the treble side and back (see photos). Not wanting to risk damage to the finish, I’ve left them as they are. The banjo is all original with the exception of the bridge and the head. Completely stable, top to bottom. The sound is wonderfully clear and bright with volume to spare. The neck is level, the action is good, and the play is fast and easy. Just a beautiful little 1920’s banjo.
