I'm offering for sell a very rare and heavily illustrated book about German efforts to conquer arctic circle!
This is one of four books from the OKW series. The rest are listed on the other of my auctions.
This brilliant photo book measures 6-1/2 x 9-1/2 inches, contains 160 very heavily illustrated pages, and was published by order of the OKW by Zeitgeschichte - Verlag in 1940.
The book is a great documentation of the German Norway campaign, depicting soldiers marching, fighting and resting, Mointain troops on their way to Narvik and at the arctic circle, German sailors and a memorial for the Cruiser Blucher, engineers building bridges, the capture of Lillehammer, German paratroopers in action during the battle for Narvik, British POWs, Norwegian prisoners after capitulation and much, much more.
This 80+ year old book is in very good condition with original dust jacket !
