Signed PAUL CHEE Navajo STERLING SILVER Coral & Turquoise Belt Buckle 1970s

Description

Offered here is a vintage hand wrought Navajo Sterling Silver, Turquoise and Coral belt buckle. This buckle is signed for Navajo silversmith, artisan Paul Chee. The buckle is oval in shape and measures 3 1/2" by 2 3/4". The edges are scalloped and hand stamped. The center is set with a red coral and turquoise stone surrounded by applied feather leaf trim and raised beading.
This buckle will fit a 1 1/2" wide belt. It is signed  P Chee, for Paul Chee, from Window Rock region, Arizona. He worked as a silversmith for State Line Indian Jewelry and his work is highly sought by collectors. This buckle weighs 48.6 grams and dates circa 1975.
The buckle retains the original aged patina and is in very good pre-owned condition.
