Floyd Becenti Jr Navajo Vintage Silver Leather Storyteller Southwest Concho Belt

Attributed to Navajo Silversmith Floyd Becenti.
DESCRIPTION
The belt has five smaller rectangle concha and at the ends of the belt are two askewed rectangular concha with hooks on the reverse top side of the concha. There appears to be hallmarks on the inside rectangular concha. The concha are on a red/orange treated leather belt. The markings on one of the rectangular concha is BCT. The engravings on the concha are folk art scenes; there is a moon and a sun, figures in tribal dress, animals and fire; the belt is sterling slver but a silver purity mark is not evident. Brothers Floyd and Lloyd Becenti (Navajo silversmiths) shared the same hallmark for quite some time. The hallmark for Lloyd Becenti is LL BCT. Floyd Becenti was born in 1960 and died in 2016. Floyd Becenti's hallmark is BCT. One of the mark's is upside down in the photo, but is BCT. I believe the concha belt was crafted by Floyd Becenti. The concha does show wear; there is discoloration and tarnish as well as some slight pitting on the concha which does affect the value.
