Fender Banjo FB-54 5 String 27.5" Scale No Case Guaranteed Safe Shipping.
Banjo is in good shape with some playing wear as pictured. The head can be replaced easily for a brand new one so that is not an issue. The back of the neck has a small half inch sized ding (impression) but it’s not on the playing surface of the neck, just outside of it so you don’t really feel it when you play. Tuners work well and hold tuning well. Banjo is all original and has no issues. Overall it’s in good shape but could probably benefit from a setup. It plays perfectly fine as is, but the strings may be just a tad bit high for my liking but they’re still comfortable and not hard to play. The tailpiece for some reason is not opening up, I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be like that or if it’s frozen. I have a higher quality fender banjo and the tailpiece opens up on that for easier string changes. This one is not opening but maybe I’m doing something wrong. I’m more of a guitar and bass player, banjo is just a hobby. The strings can still easily be changed without raising the tailpiece so maybe it’s just an added feature on my other one. I will clean the banjo up a bit before shipping it out. I do not have a case for it. Shipping will definitely be more than 0 but I’ll pay for the rest. I will ship it through UPS and insure it.
