Description
Deering Maple Blossom BanjoThis Deering 5-String Banjo was purchased from the Homestead Pickin' Parlor in 1997.
This banjo head was personally signed by J.D. Crowe, at the Minnesota El Rancho Manana festival in 2009.
This has a bright and clean tone owing to the curly maple resonator and other maple pieces of the instrument.
One owner instrument - played professionally and recreationally. I rate the condition as very good to excellent. Scratch marks on the head below the strings reveal the transparent head - typical with well played banjos.
The only visible wear is on the 1st and 2nd fret - slightly grooved from playing for 25 years (shown in photo). The strings do not buzz.
Everything is original, except for the folllowing modifications and/or additions:
Scruggs Tuners for the G & B strings. Other tuners (D & D) are the original.
Original G & B Deering tuners included.
Custom Deering Wood Arm Rest.
Custom Clamshell Tail Piece (original tail piece also included).
Electric Pick-Up w/Jack Receptacle installed.
Snark Tuner - clip-on (included).
Extra New Head (Snuffy Smith Banjo Head) - optional.
GLS - JD Crowe Light Banjo Strings - on banjo.
Extra set of Banjo Ben Light Gauge | 10-11-12-22-12 | included.
Bag of picks, both for banjo and guitar - included.
Three different capos - included
Lockable banjo case w/key - original - case in very good condition.
