2016 HQ Ignition 2 - 7m

Description

This kite has seen little use, maybe a couple dirt stains.  Don't get many chances to use a 7m around here, so it is in excellent condition.
The 7m Ignition2 is a super fun kite.  Because it is so rock-solid in gusty winds, I actually used it this winter as an alternative to my 5.5m Apex as a storm kite.    The kite has a
light/lively feel, quick turn, great lift and easy relaunch.
It's beefy front tube makes it nice and grunty with great lift and upwind ability.  In fact, HQ recommends riding a size smaller than normal.  You can find video footage of my one water session on youtube ("HQ Ignition 2 Water Test").
Testers from the Kiteboarder Review called the Igntion2 "Quick and Agile," as well as, "...takes you high and brings you down slow".
The Ignition II is very well behaved and super stable, making it a great 1st kite.  But the lift and turn rate - as well as the all the various bridle settings you can adjust - leave lots of room for growth well into your intermediate stage.
HQ has taken the construction quality to the next level on the Ignition2 - in fact they are now being made in the same Sri Lankan facilities as Core.  The Large-diameter Boston valve has super-nice, quick inflation:  I pumped the 7m up in under 40 seconds while taking these photos for ebay.
All in all, a lot of kite for the money, especially at these used prices.

Performance:
We preserved the good performance of the ignition and substantially increased it. The new bridle allows faster moves with the kite. The responsiveness of the Ignition II has become straighter and more exact.  An excellent lift and hang-time, a fast turning speed and better catching after kite-loops set new  standards for higher and longer jumps.

Shape
:  In combination with the new bridle the shape offers more stability. Especially the larger sizes are now  perfectly suited for heavy riders. The improved strutting reduces movement within the canopy and  increases handling responsiveness.

Bridle:
An important issue in the development of the new ignition was the bridle setup. The main bridle attachment points have been relocated more outwards to reduce the leverage on the wingtip, resulting in a direct and faster linkage.

Material
:  Besides the flying performance we also worked on the choice of materials. A new, bigger valve offers faster pumping, that results in a higher inner pressure for even more feedback. Alongside the front tube, we also reinforced the attachment points and the struts to guarantee more stability and resistance. Kevla patches on top of the front tube reduce the occurrence of chafe marks.
