As we approach the summer solstice, let's take a pause and put ourselves in the right spot at Stonehenge, wait for the sun to rise, and let out a deep long Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. A religious experience, and not necessarily in a spiritual way, and I'm not talking Stonehenge. I'm talking about the former Pontiac in the form of the aptly named Solstice. The curvaceous, delicious eye candy, which takes some of its design cues from the '60's E type Jags, is a neat little sports car, and was sadly only around for a solid 4 year run, with only 10 being produced in the 5th year.
For consignment, and not a straight line to be found on it, Pontiac Solstice. A low mileage 43,064 convertible, that turns out to be a thrill to drive, and is in near perfect condition. Oh and it's a GXP so you'll gear more ponies out of the turbocharged 4 popper, and more standard safety features including ABS, Stabili-Trak skid management and a limited slip differential.
Exterior
Taking on lines that seem as though they were drawn with only a compass in hand, this curvy, aerodynamic design is bathed in Mean, (the name for Yellow!). From the bulbous front Jaguar-esque grille, to the inset headlights, a long rounded hood, swept back windscreen, and rounded rear with integrated tail lamps within the rear quarters, this car can slice through the air like a Ginsu knife through buttah! Sporty 5 spoke polished Pontiac wheels are bolted on all 4 corners and a nice black canvas convertible top tops off the exterior of this great little sports car. One subtle difference from the standard Solstice and the GXP is the grille is blackened, and the headlights take on a more aero design.
Interior
Integrated design is the buzz word here as we swing open the door you can run your hand all around the door panel, and probably feel nary a bump, as everything is flush and clean. Moving inside to the dash, we see more integrated smooth curves with an L shaped grey panel which houses all the gauges,buttons, radio and gearshift surrounded by a black padded background dash top. These curved lines work their way back through the 2 cloth bolster and insert broadcloth buckets covered in varying hues of charcoal gray. These high back buckets back up to a dual eyebrow roll bar, if you will, as well as a nicely covered in felt material trunk lining that protects the top very nicely and snugly, when it is in the down position.
Drivetrain
A clean 2.0L Ecotec 4 cylinder turbocharged fuel injected engine is backed by a 5 speed manual transmission, and a 3.73 limited slip differential. And certainly no problems here.
Undercarriage
Wrapped in its aero package seamless unibody design, no rust or problems noted. Very clean, with power disc brakes on all 4 corners, and looking garage kept all the way.
Drive-Ability
A quick fire up and the sun was about to line up for my test drive. On the test track it ran swimmingly, and showed no known problems. Great acceleration from the turbo, and bias free ABS braking. A lively test drive with the top down ...of course!
We have in our halls a neat little sports car, turbo version, very clean, fairly low mileage, and certainly very well maintained car, from a company no longer with us, but their legacy lives on in this cool little Solstice. Stonehenge here we come! Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Vehicle Pickup & Shipping:
All shipping charges are buyer's responsibility unless otherwise documented in sales agreement.
Deposit:
Buyer must contact us within 24 hours of accepted offer, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A 0 deposit is due within 48 hours of listings end to secure the vehicle.
Payment of Balance Due:
The remainder is due (plus applicable fees and taxes) within 7 days. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle or sell it otherwise. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle.
Additional Fees and Taxes:
All Pennsylvania residents must pay applicable state and local tax, title and license fees. Out of state buyers are responsible for their own state taxes and fees. Out of state buyers are responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered.
Shipping:
The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges unless otherwise documented on the sales agreement.  We will assist the buyer with finding a shipping company. We assume no responsibility for damages incurred after leaving our premises. If the vehicle is going to be shipped, full payment must be received before the vehicle is delivered to the shipping company.
