  • Condition: I started fixing this kite got the strut valves reglued then noticed some of the octopus valves inside the leading edge are bad so I gave up. I inflated it but it only held air for a minute. There are some bad valves and this kite requires a complete valve job or better, change this kite to multipump and eliminate the octopus

    Description

    Have a piece of history.  I restuck the strut valves but the main octopus has problems.  I believe some of the male parts have come off and the female parts have come unglued. I pumped it up and it only held air for a minute.  This is a 15 year old kite so the valves are bad but the canopy and leading edge are still good. No control bar no lines just the kite.   If you have been looking for an old kite in good condition to make bags, pants or shirt out of this could be what you want.  This is the first Naish SLE kite, pre-sigma, 2007.  If you want to fly this kite I recommend removing all the struts and converting it to multipump.
