    Description

This rare and remarkable 1st. edition book outlines the beginnings and buildup of the production of planes for the Luftwaffe in 1939 on the eve of WWII.  It features views of many of the planes that would later become so destructive to the Allies, particularly the Heinkel He111.  Additionally it illustrates the factory research and development of these planes including a exploded view of the He111.  There are also scenes of the factory layouts and views of the planes actually being built by workers.  I think this book must have been very useful for Allied intelligence.  The book has many photos and is 191 pages long.  I have erased forbidden Nazi tail markings in my photos.  It was printed by Verlag der H.Laupp'schen Buchhandlung in Tubingen.  The book has blue cloth covers and is 8.75" wide x 9.25" tall,  There is light wear on the covers with a little wear through of the cloth at the tips of the covers.  The flyleaf has a bend and a bookplate that reads:  Weinachten / 1940 / Lw. KBK (mot) 6 /
    Jehring
(in pencil script) / MAJOR u KOMP. CHEF.  There is also a later ink inscription in German: 10/21/89 Fur meinen Freund / "Ken" zum Geburtstag /
